PROJECT SUMMARY:
ASDi completed the structural design for a new administration building for Monroe Elementary School in Hanford, CA. The building utilizes mostly wood framing, with some structural steel beams and columns. The roof was framed using a combination of wood I-joists, laminated veneer lumber, and structural steel. The lateral system is comprised of a plywood roof diaphragm and shear walls. The building also features a popped-up roof with clearstory windows at the main building entrance.
